Order your yearbook now!  Keep your memories of SSS forever!  Soft cover $22.00.  Hard cover $24.00.  Please call 348-2342 and ask for a flyer to be sent home with your child!

Fourth Grade Students will be taking the NECAP Science Test on May 8,9, and 10th.  The state test is given each spring to measure student understanding and application of science content and inquiry skills.  Please be sure your fourth grader is in school and on time for all the days of testing.  State St. School has seen significant improvement on this state assessment with 86% of our students proficient last year!  Let's keep up the great work!

Please come support our youngest student singers on Thursday May 10th in the gym.
Kindergarten starts at 6:00.  First and Second start at 7:00.

All Children Exercising Simultaneously will be on Friday May 11th 10:00-10:30 in the back field.  Families are welcome.  Please sign in at the back table in the parking lot.

Please come listen to the talented voices of the 3rd and 4th grade students on Friday May 11th at 6:30 in the SSS gym!

PLEASE join us for our PTO meeting!  Offer your suggestions for events and activitites for the year ahead or learn how you can support events and activities for our students!  Babysitting available.  Wednesday May 16th at 6:00pm in the SSS library.  The final meeting will be on Wednesday June 6th at 6:00pm.

No School on Thursday May 17th for Staff Development.

SSS will hold its 2nd Walk to School Day on Wednesday May 23rd from 8:40-9:05. Buses will drop students at the St. Pius curch parking lot.  Families who transport their child should also drop there too.  We will all walk to school together in recognition of our Safe Routes to School grant we received!  Please walk with us, a bus will bring you back to your car!

No School on Monday May 28th in honor of Memorial Day.

The very successful Carnival returns to SSS on Tuesday June 12th from 5:30-7:30 on the back lawn of SSS!  Dunk Tank, Jump House, Face Painting, Games and Food!  Please come and support this final PTO event!

The SSS PTO will sponsor a Buy One Get One Free Book Fair on June 12 and 13!  Open during Fun Day!

Grades K-2 will be on Tuesday June 12 from 9:30-1:00.  The raindate is Monday June 18th.
Grades 3-4 will be on Wednesday June 13th from 9:30-1:00.  The raindate is Friday June 15th.
Families are welcome.  Please sign in at the table in back parking lot.

School ends on Tuesday June 19th.  Lunch wil be served.  Students will be dismissed at 12:00. Have a safe summer! 

The students of SSS have been learning that they can make a difference in the lives of others by performing good deeds!  Some recent good deeds include, Pennies for Patients, Make A Wish Walk-a-thon, and collecting gently used books for children in Africa.  We will welcome Lindsey Allen to a school assembly on Monday April 9th who will talk about her work in Africa and how our books help children.  Assisting a friend, giving a smile, and helping at home are all ways we encourage our children to perform "good deeds" everyday!
